In a swift move, the new Caretaker Prime Minister of Pakistan, Anwaar-ul-Haq Kakar, has given the green light to an increase in prices of petrol (Rs17.50) and high-speed diesel (Rs20). Effective immediately from 16th August 2023, petrol will be priced at Rs290.45 per liter, while high-speed diesel will be available at Rs293.40 per liter.
